RELATIVITY

33 people saved.
6901 people killed,
in Iraq/Afghanistan, not including Iraqis and Afghans.
11,773 people killed by drunk drivers.
I am deeply moved to tears by the Chilean rescue.
They were dead human beings, now resurrected.
It is wonderful to see a nation celebrate its humanity.
Is it possible that all the miners are good human beings?
Is it possible that none of them beat their wives?
Are they heroes because they survived,
or because of how they live their lives?
Thousands in our American ghetto are murdered.
There is no news coverage.
Did we care about the miners before the accident?
How long will we care about them?
What about all the other miners who give up life,
to enrich rich men, to help us feel more comfortable,
to make us happy with baubles?
The thing that is most moving is the fact…
they survived two months in Hell, together.
It gives us a slim hope that we and the Earth can too.

My blog is for vulnerable communication from my heart, mind, and spirit, meant to touch readers who are passionate about creativity, art, life, and cultures.... Nastiness and personal attack are expressions of bitterness, not meaningful communication. The internet drowns in negativity, but not this site....Thoughtful criticism, however, is not negative, but an affirmation of ideals, hopes, and caring. Positive comments are more useful if they are not meant for my ego, but to share compassion and love....Thanks for reading, feeling, and sharing.
