TONY CURTIS

Tony Curtis was the Hollywood guest super-star in a silly movie, "Brainwaves" (by one of the most prolific bad directors who had
artistic potential, but no integrity or humor). Tony was paid a lot to simply show up for a day,
to exploit his VHS-box marquee value. Legendary, yet treated with no professional respect, except by some of the crew, Tony gave an intense, chilling performance using only his face and eyes..... The camera very slowly dollied across a long line of extras. Only Tony had his back completely turned to the camera. Just as it reached him, Tony turned and glared into the lens, giving a totally convincing 10-second performance of a truly mad and dangerous master scientist. No one gave him any audio or visual prompt, yet take-after-take, Tony instinctively FELT the presence of that big beautiful camera, and faced it at the precise perfect moment. If you love the potential of cinema and great acting, see the movie just for Tony skill and courageous self-respect.

My blog is for vulnerable communication from my heart, mind, and spirit, meant to touch readers who are passionate about creativity, art, life, and cultures.... Nastiness and personal attack are expressions of bitterness, not meaningful communication. The internet drowns in negativity, but not this site....Thoughtful criticism, however, is not negative, but an affirmation of ideals, hopes, and caring. Positive comments are more useful if they are not meant for my ego, but to share compassion and love....Thanks for reading, feeling, and sharing.
