MRS. THATCHER

On one hand, we have so few leaders who have strong convictions, who look stunning and unforgettable, who are women in power.... On the other hand, she did so many things that hurt her country, her citizens, Argentina, and ultimately, indirectly, America....       It is not nice to speak ill of those recently deceased, because     their loved ones and many strangers grieve for them, and     because we know we will soon be next. Yet some leaders, consciously, whether misguided or not, made wrong decisions,
stubbornly pursued them, and never even reconsidered their destructive actions.....Should we pretend they were good leaders, when they were not?  Should we publicly mouth polite words      of condolence, and privately celebrate revenge?  Do we give tributes to an iconic star (not Meryl Streep), whose photographic image was strangely comforting, but whose policies negatively affected millions?.....
However, we can mourn the loss of a very flawed human being, perhaps a little like ourselves.

My blog is for vulnerable communication from my heart, mind, and spirit, meant to touch readers who are passionate about creativity, art, life, and cultures.... Nastiness and personal attack are expressions of bitterness, not meaningful communication. The internet drowns in negativity, but not this site....Thoughtful criticism, however, is not negative, but an affirmation of ideals, hopes, and caring. Positive comments are more useful if they are not meant for my ego, but to share compassion and love....Thanks for reading, feeling, and sharing.
